How to read the OHL standings
Start with PTS to compare points totals, then check GP to see whether the teams have played the same number of games. Use the Conference view to follow the race in the East and West, Division to compare local rivals, and League to see all 20 OHL teams together.
Wins, overtime losses and shootout losses
A win earns two standings points. An overtime or shootout loss normally earns one; a regulation loss earns none. W includes all wins, while L, OTL and SOL separate the three types of loss. Team standings points are different from the goals-plus-assists points on the player scoring list.
Points percentage is not win percentage
PTS% is the share of available points earned: points divided by twice the games played. For example, 15 points from 10 games is 75.0% of the 20 points available. It helps compare teams with different numbers of games played, but it does not replace the published ranking.
Goals for, goals against and goal difference
GF counts goals for and GA goals against. DIFF is GF minus GA; a positive figure means a team has scored more than it has conceded. Goal difference is useful context, but it is not the first OHL tiebreaker.
Last 10, RW and ROW
Last 10 reads wins–regulation losses–overtime losses–shootout losses. A 6–2–1–1 record means six wins from those ten games. Early in the season it can cover fewer than ten games. RW counts regulation wins; ROW adds overtime wins but excludes shootout wins.
OHL playoff qualification and conference seeding
Eight teams qualify from each conference
The top eight teams in each conference qualify for the OHL playoffs. The league's published format gives the two division leaders the first two seeds within their conference. That priority means a playoff seed can differ from a simple points ranking.
First-round seeds are paired 1–8, 2–7, 3–6 and 4–5. The standings above do not announce qualification or predict a bracket. Use the playoff centre for confirmed series and the playoff format guide for how later rounds work.

For positions other than the final playoff place, the OHL's published procedure starts with regulation-and-overtime wins, then head-to-head results. Further criteria include goal difference and the ratio of goals for to total goals for and against. Ties involving more than two teams need the league's full procedure.
The last playoff position has a separate policy, including a deciding game for a two-team tie. Check the league's current announcement for arrangements and dates; a regular-season tie does not by itself mean a deciding game has been scheduled.

Why can a team with fewer wins have more points?
Overtime and shootout losses can add standings points. Compare the complete W–L–OTL–SOL record and games played, rather than wins alone.
Are these live projected standings?
