How to follow the OHL playoff bracket
A series score counts games won, not goals. A 3–2 lead means one team needs one more win to advance; its opponent needs two. Each filled mark on a team’s card represents one win, with four needed to finish the series.
Who has advanced?
A decided series names the team that moves on. A tied series has no leader. During a game, the live score belongs to that game alone: the series total changes after the result is final.
Why there are no fixed paths to the final
The OHL re-seeds teams within each conference after the first and second rounds. The highest remaining seed faces the lowest, with division winners retaining their top-two seed positions while they remain in contention. Winning one matchup does not automatically mean facing the winner of the card next to it.
From conference rounds to the J. Ross Robertson Cup
Eight teams in each conference start in the quarter-finals. Four remain for each conference’s semi-finals, then two meet in its final. The Eastern and Western conference champions play the OHL Championship Series. Every round is best of seven, including the championship.
