Understanding OHL player scoring statistics
This table covers regular-season skaters: forwards and defencemen. Goalies use different measures and are not included. Search a player, choose an OHL team or compare rookies, then sort by the statistic that matters to you.
Points: goals plus assists
G is goals, A is assists and PTS is their sum. A player with 12 goals and 18 assists has 30 points. The points leader can therefore be a different player from the leading goal scorer or assist leader.
Points per game and minimum appearances
P/GP divides points by games played. It helps compare scoring pace when players have played different numbers of games. A strong one-game appearance can produce a high average, so use Minimum games when comparing longer runs of form. Rates are displayed to two decimal places.
PPG is power-play goals; P/GP is scoring pace
PPG counts goals scored on the power play. PPA counts power-play assists, SHG shorthanded goals and GWG game-winning goals. These are parts of a player's totals, not extra points to add to PTS.
Shots, shooting percentage and other columns
SOG counts shots on goal. SH% divides goals by shots and is unavailable when there are no recorded shots. PIM means penalty minutes. Plus/minus is a separate on-ice statistic, not an addition to a player's points.

The Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy
The Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy recognises the OHL's regular-season top scorer. The race is decided by points, not goals alone. Today's leader has not necessarily won the season award, and playoff scoring is counted separately from the regular-season totals here.

OHL scoring leaders questions
What happens to a player's points after a trade?
The table keeps the player's reported season total, which can include appearances for more than one OHL team. The displayed team is the team listed with that record. Choosing a team still shows the player's full season totals; players who have appeared for more than one team are marked.
How are equal totals ranked?
Players equal on the selected statistic share a rank within your results: two players tied first are followed by third. Equal values retain their published order. These filter rankings do not decide official awards or league tiebreaks. Points-per-game ranks compare the full rate, so two displayed averages can look equal after rounding.
Who counts as a rookie or a defenceman?
Rookie status follows the league's player record, not an age estimate. Defence includes D, LD and RD; forwards include centres and left and right wings. No minimum age is applied to this scoring table.
Why might totals change after a game?
Official scoring decisions can be corrected after play ends. Check the table's update time and the official OHL statistics when following a close scoring race. These totals do not project points from a game still in progress.
