Flint Firebirds: Dort Financial Center and Michigan matchups

A Flint identity with an older franchise history

The Firebirds began playing in Flint in 2015 after the Plymouth Whalers relocated. The franchise's earlier names include the Detroit Compuware Ambassadors and Detroit Junior Red Wings. Championships won before the move belong to that wider franchise history; they should not be described as titles won by a Flint team.

Dort Financial Center is the Firebirds' home in Flint, Michigan. The building opened in 1969, well before the OHL club arrived.
