Barrie Colts: Sadlon Arena, club history & games to follow
From expansion club to the 2000 championship
Barrie entered the OHL in 1995 and won the J. Ross Robertson Cup in 2000, beating Plymouth in a seven-game final. That run also took the Colts to the Memorial Cup final. It is a useful starting point for understanding the banners around the rink: the club's OHL history begins in Barrie, rather than with a recent relocation from another league city.

Older Colts programmes may call the building the Barrie Molson Centre. Today's home is Sadlon Arena, which opened on December 31, 1995 with a game against Sudbury. The OHL's club guide highlights franchise record boards around the ice; they give a first-time visitor a quick introduction to former Colts while waiting for warm-ups.
