Planning around the OHL playoff schedule
Playoff dates are announced as matchups are settled. A later round may have no games listed while earlier series are still being played. The absence of a date does not mean that the round has been cancelled; check the series progress page to see which opponents are confirmed.
What does “if necessary” mean?
A best-of-seven series ends as soon as one team wins four games. Games 5, 6 and 7 may therefore be conditional. A 4–0 sweep ends the series after Game 4; a 4–2 result ends it after Game 6. Once a series is decided, any remaining scheduled games are marked “Not required” and removed from Upcoming.
Time TBA and postponed games
“Time TBA” means the puck-drop time has not been confirmed. “Date to be confirmed” means the playing date is still undecided. A postponed game needs a new arrangement, while a cancelled game will not be played as listed. Check the team’s latest announcement before setting off for the arena.
Reading playoff game results
The visiting team appears first, with the home team underneath. Final scores are goals in that game, not series wins. “Final OT” means the game ended in overtime; “Final 2OT” means it took a second overtime period. Open a game recap for the available scoring details.
Find one team’s home or away games
Select a team before choosing Home games or Away games. Add a round or date range to narrow the list. Completed shows results with the latest finish first when a finish time is available; Upcoming shows the next scheduled puck drop first. Dates stay grouped by Eastern Time even when you choose local puck-drop times.
Watching playoff hockey in Canada
Open a game for its confirmed viewing options. Coverage can vary by matchup and region, and a broadcast from an earlier season does not confirm this season’s coverage. Use the OHL TV and streaming schedule for listed television, streaming and audio options, or official free live streams for announced free games.
Tickets and travel
Confirm the date, arena and start time with the home team before buying tickets or travelling. For an “if necessary” game, check the ticket seller’s terms and the latest series result. A fixture can disappear from Upcoming because the series ended before that game was needed.
